Job Description: Network & Infrastructure Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Design, support, and optimize network systems and infrastructure.
Maintain, implement, and troubleshoot network and infrastructure systems.
Utilize monitoring tools to generate performance reports and provide recommendations based on analysis.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot (L2) routing, switching, and firewall systems.
Install hardware and applications as required.
Diagnose, explain, and resolve technical problems effectively.
Administer and troubleshoot network devices including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components, software, and applications.
Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning.
Document architecture, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Assess, prioritize, and escalate faults as necessary.
Isolate, triage, and remediate customer network and connected system issues.
Ensure availability during coverage hours and consistently meet SLA response times.
Coordinate with service providers for issue resolution.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and adapt quickly.
Deliver excellent customer handling and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end customers to resolve issues.
Provide daily task reporting and status updates.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s and Master Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3–5 years of experience primarily in network, infrastructure, or systems administration.
Strong knowledge of IP networking fundamentals, hardware, and operating systems.
Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware components.
Experience with Solarwinds or any other network monitoring tool preferred
Preferred Skills & Certifications
Exposure to JunOS, Cisco, Linux, or similar technologies.
Certifications such as JNCIA or CCNA.
Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN or Fortinet Firewall solutions.
