Essential capabilities :
- Hands-on coding and should be able to help team on technical queries.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills with the ability to deal with stakeholders (engineers, users, and product owners)
- Setting standards / approaches for Engineering teams to follow, together with a ‘hands on’ approach when required.
- Triage new demand and ensures enough technology guidance exists at high level to initiate work and lead design activities.
- Ensure that technical designs meet functional, resilience, throughput, security, reuse, and simplicity needs.
- Strong focus on CI/CD Strong commitment to quality and auditability o Contribute to all stages of software development lifecycle
- Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low latency
- Analyse user requirements to define business objectives
- Envisioning system features and functionality
Experience:
- Atleast 3.5 years of experience as Java Developer (Java 8 or greater)
- 3.5 years of hands-on experience in microservices along with design pattern and principle around it
- Experience with high-volume, fault-tolerant applications
- Experience with distributed, event driven systems and using messaging protocols. Messaging middleware such as IBM MQ, Apache Kafka preferred.
- Experience of using AWS Services
- Hands-on experience using functional interface, lambda, and streams etc
- Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts
- Experience creating RESTful API services
- Experience in developing event driven microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka and related technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git
- Understanding of building tools Maven, Gradle, etc
- Understanding of code quality tools like sonar, qube, etc
- Understanding of git branching strategy
- Understanding of CI/CD pipeline and tools around that like Jenkin, jfrog antifactory etc
- Experience in writing junits using mockito and power Mockito
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and RDBMS like PostgreSQL etc
Key tasks:
- Developer is responsible for several Java-related duties throughout the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. The developer is required to create user information solutions through the development, implementation, and maintenance of Java-based components and interfaces
- Engage in hands-on development to balance workload or address significant complexity through technical Proof of Concepts, build, test including non-functional areas like security, reliability, and performance
- Hands-on coding along with code reviews
- Follow coding guidelines and ensure quality of code which is bug free and secure
- Ensure that technical designs meet functional, resilience, throughput, security, reuse, and simplicity need.
- Develop and test software
- Identify and resolve any technical issues arising
- Write well designed, testable code
- Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
