Role Responsibilities

  • Fulfillment and coordination of responses and on-site visits for examinations and audits for applicable licensed affiliates/subsidiaries regarding the Company’s regulatory, internal testing, internal/external compliance, and consumer protection programs.
  • Maintaining the central repository and tracking of all materials provided during the scope of an exam, audit, or due diligence request.
  • Responding to due diligence requests from third parties (Agents, partners) and/or banking partners as submitted by the Regional Compliance teams, to liaison with the Business, Legal, Compliance, Treasury, etc. and for providing documentation approved for release to non-regulatory bodies.
  • Coordination of global regulatory examinations and audits, including but not limited to relationship management; audit and exam materials; coordinating and preparing responses and timely resolution.
  • Independently review information provided by various subject matter experts to ensure documentation provided is responsive and timely.
  • Pulling evidence and details from the various Customer Transaction Services platforms to support examinations and audits for Platform Operations.
  • Attend monthly quality calibrations.
  • Review and modification of knowledge articles
  • Response isn’t just a response, that if we are not clear and concise in our communications and there is room for confusion or misunderstanding, we create risk which exposes our larger group and the teams we support as well as WU.

Role Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience related to Money Transfer or similar financial services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • The ability to engage with key stakeholders actively and proactively.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a high degree of attention to detail and a penchant for getting to the root cause of an issue.
  • Analytical, creative, problem-solving mindset. Flexibility is a key element as the role will require the ability to understand and react to changes in priorities.
  • Understanding of Operational risk and associated regulations (e.g. Consumer Protection laws) and the associated application to a financial services business.
  • Team player who works effectively with others to identify and resolve issues; share information and keep team members and management informed.
  • High Proficiency in English required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Shift

Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. We believe this fosters common ways of working and supports how we execute initiatives for our customers. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
