Analyst III, Security Strategy, Architecture & Innovation
In this role, you will shape how security is embedded across Moneris’ application, cloud, and infrastructure environments. You will partner closely with engineering, DevOps, product, and enterprise architecture teams to influence technical design decisions. The role emphasizes early risk assessment and proactive security integration. Your work will include threat modeling, technology risk assessments, and secure architecture design. You will help drive consistent adoption of security patterns and standards across the organization. The position supports DevSecOps alignment within multi‑cloud and CI/CD environments. You will contribute directly to enterprise security architecture roadmaps. Mentorship and knowledge sharing are key aspects of the role. You will have the opportunity to influence enterprise‑wide security direction. The role operates at the intersection of security, engineering, and architecture within a collaborative, innovation‑focused environment.

The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 - $119,000
Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. Individual job offers are determined by various factors, including experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead independent security risk assessments and threat modeling across applications, cloud platforms, and infrastructure.
• Design secure architecture solutions, reference architectures, and design patterns aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop security architecture diagrams, standards, and technical guidance to support delivery teams.
• Embed security into system design and delivery through DevSecOps practices.
• Identify security control gaps and recommend practical, risk‑based mitigation strategies.
• Support adoption of security patterns, standards, and controls across technology teams.
• Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to security strategy and roadmaps.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4–6+ years of cybersecurity experience in architecture, engineering, or risk assessment.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud security across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience with application security, including secure SDLC, API security, and vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in threat modeling and security risk assessments.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD security integration.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
Preferred Qualifications
• Cybersecurity certifications (CompTIA CySA+, SSCP).
• Cloud security certifications (AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer).
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP.
