Analyst II, State Reporting Accountant (Hybrid)

Job Purpose:
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting past and future business performance. Communicate findings and impacts
effectively to customers and management. Responsible for working with and influencing Manager and Director level
customers. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to a broad customer group.
 

Analyst:
Helps implement solutions by reviewing data, determining the requirements of a project or program, and
communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. They assist with the business case, organizing
requirements, translating and simplifying requirements, and requirements analysis. Analysts may also use
requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project’s scope,
acceptance, installation and deployment.

Position Specific Job Responsibilities (State Reporting Accountant):
State Reporting

  • Oversee the state reporting process by managing technology, completing reporting requirements and managing team resources.
  • Develop understanding of the financial systems and processes to act as a data steward to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Understand new state reporting requirements and work with internal teams to meet requirements.
  • Review processes to identify efficiencies and develop streamlined processes.
  • Understand new product offerings and work with internal teams to implement changes to reporting process.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and manage automation projects.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports and assist in various projects.
  • Improve processes related to achieving the above responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance to analysts and project teams.
  • Help communicate and explain financial concepts and methods to individuals throughout the Controller group and other departments such as compliance, product or claims.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Financial discipline.
  • Previous experience (1-5 years) in finance or accounting role preferred. (i.e. Internship)
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a specific business unit leader.
  • Effective written and verbal communications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvements.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with team members.
  • Familiar with Financial Reporting tools, Workday

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

 

Base Salary Range:

$62,000.00 - $93,000.00
