About the Role
Serve as the responsible function to set up, implement proper first-line governance and control in conjunction with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance regulatory and IGF requirements. As well as to ensure the maintenance, continuous improvement of the Investment Governance & Control process for enhancing the investment capabilities.Roles and Responsibilities:
• Maintain/Update/Integrity of the Policy, Standards and Procedures as per regulation and internal requirements, as well as IGF mapping.
• Track and perform Gap Analysis on Regulatory Requirements and IGF.
• Review the Investment Mandates and facilitate the relevant Governance process for Mandates.
• Set-up/amendment of automated Pre-trade controls / Post-Trade monitoring and oversight/maintain Governing Document.
• Coordinate self-assessment on control effectiveness and efficacy as per regulatory requirement, and facilitate implementation of AIA Investment Operational Control requirements.
• Ensure the adherence to requirements by the Governance Information Disclosure to regulator, as well as AIA Group.
• Provide the communication & training relevant to Investment Governance & Control internally.
• Conduct the Investment Data Governance.
• Support on ESG Investment Framework.
• Coordinate between various stakeholders (i.e., 2nd and 3rd LoD) to support Governance & Control’s improvement initiatives to meet the on-going developments and upgrading of IGF and regulator’s requirements.
• Assist the Head of Governance & Control with other projects and initiatives from time to time as required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
• More than 7 years of experience in internal/external Auditing, Control, Investment Compliance, Risk Management, quality assurance, or consulting experience, preferably gained from insurance or asset management company;
• Previous experience working as first line or second line of Insurance, asset management;
• Recognized professional investment/accounting/auditing/risk management (CFA,CPA, FRAM, CIA, CA, etc.) designation;
• Previous involvement with the project implementation;
• Experience using robust investment management platforms, preferable Hundsun and/or Bloomberg AIMS, CMGR.
• Can distill complex issues into simple reports, solutions, and designs;
• A post graduate degree or professional designation would be viewed favorably;
• Good command of written and spoken English;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization; and Independent and strong self-initiative.
