Your days will vary. You’ll respond to client questions, analyze plan data, and prepare renewal and reporting deliverables that guide decision making. You’ll collaborate directly with regional consultants and the broader analytical team to interpret trends, identify opportunities and keep client programs running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into the numbers but also understands the importance of clear communication and strong client service.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide direct day-to-day problem solving support for clients in relation to their group benefits programs

  • Perform data entry to support quarterly and annual financial analysis for a broad range of clients in a variety of industry sectors

  • Conduct renewal analyses, negotiate fees and rates with carriers – in alignment with department strategy

  • Prepare client ready renewal reports in PowerPoint

  • Review insurance contracts and financial statements

  • Support the consultants in managing projects, conducting or directing research, and drawing meaningful conclusions from client and market data

  • Gain insight and build knowledge of our organization, its services, people and purpose

  • Data review, assumption setting, and report writing for actuarial valuations (actuarial track only)

  • Handle confidential information and data – adhering to HUB’s privacy and confidentiality agreement

What You’ll Need for Success

  • Post-secondary degrees in Commerce, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, or Human Resources

  • 1-2 years of professional experience as an analyst or in a corporate setting, with employee benefits experience being a valuable asset.

  • Completion of courses related to Group Benefits (e.g. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist – CEBS, insurance license, and actuarial designation) are not required, but would be an asset

  • LLQP certification is considered an asset; candidates without it must be willing to complete it within the first year of employment.

  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • PowerBI experience an asset

  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills

  • Experience working in a high-paced, growth environment
