Simcorp is currently seeking a qualified professional to join our Financial Data Operations team as a full-time employee, based in San Francisco. In this role, the analyst will produce high quality value-added content by working closely with the Development, Research, Index, and Client Support business units.
The output of the analyst’s work will consist of producing a suite of daily-updated multi-factor risk models, quantitative indices, yield curves, and multi-asset class data analytics. The candidate will use quantitative and qualitative skills to manage the ongoing maintenance of data products, which include operational processes, data analysis, data reconciliation, process automation, and quality assurance.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Perform quality assurance tasks and data analysis to ensure validity of content produced and delivered to Simcorp’s clients, with a starting focus in Equity Risk Models, extending into other asset classes such as Fixed Income and Derivatives as experience develops
Manipulate large amounts of financial market data and use various tools to analyze results and propose solutions
Involvement in cross-departmental projects to improve data processing and increase automation
Work closely with other team members based in the London, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, and San Francisco offices of Simcorp
Explore opportunities to streamline processes wherever appropriate
Collaborate with product and development teams on new data acquisition
Assist the Sales and Client Support teams in resolving data inquiries
Serve as a point of contact for designated data vendors, managing day-to-day communication
Be an integral link to the overall success of SimCorp’s Axioma analytics suite of products
WHAT WE VALUE
Bachelor's Degree in in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative field
Good understanding of equities, fixed income, and financial markets
Experience with SQL, Python or other object-oriented programming language, UNIX/LINUX is a plus but not essential
Proficient quantitative problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented
Proficient organization and communication skills
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently and manage cross-departmental projects
Ability to work on a global team spread across multiple locations and time zone
Pursuit of professional designations including the CFA and FRM a plus
