Key Responsibilities
1. Regulatory Reporting (BNM-Focused)
• Prepare and submit BNM regulatory returns  include capital reporting, liquidity reporting and various statistical reporting
• Perform variance analysis and reconcile data across GL, core banking systems, and regulatory templates.
• Keep updated with BNM circulars, updates, policy changes, and ensure timely implementation

Maintain proper documentation, working papers, and audit trails for all regulatory submissions.

2. Financial & Statutory Reporting
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS
• Assist with month-end closing activities including journal entries, GL reviews, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures, supporting schedules, and audit documentation.
• Support annual statutory audit and regulatory examinations.


3. Head Office & Group Reporting
• Prepare financial packs and reporting schedules for Head Office
• Ensure alignment between local reporting and Group policies (e.g., accounting policies, transfer pricing, capital and liquidity frameworks).
• Collaborate with regional/group finance teams on reporting matters, global templates, and compliance requirements.


4. Data Quality & Internal Controls
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across systems (GL, core banking, data warehouse).

Perform reconciliations and ensure a strong control environment for BNM and statutory reporting processes.
• Support enhancements to internal controls to meet audit, compliance, and regulator expectations.

5. Process Improvement & System Enhancement
• Participate in automation initiatives for regulatory and financial reporting.
• Support implementation of reporting systems and digital tools (e.g., BNM submission platforms, data warehouse enhancements).
• Continuously review reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CFA) or in-progress studies are an advantage.


Experience
• 2 years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or finance functions within a bank,
• Experience with Big 4  is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of BNM guidelines, MFRS/IFRS accounting standards, and Basel III frameworks.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, data modeling).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data validation skills.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with auditors, regulators, and Head Office stakeholders.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with high accuracy and attention to detail.
