Analyst, Corporate Debt Finance Portfolio Management

Structured Product Groups (SPG) provides asset backed lending, capital markets, financing, secondary trading liquidity and sales, distribution to institutional clients.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Management Analyst to join our Corporate Debt Finance team. The Corporate Debt Finance (CDF) team provides capital to asset managers and other non-bank financial institutions through structured credit facilities and capital market transactions.  This position supports the reporting function, collateral management, and database management for the CDF team. 

In this role, you will:

  • Support the reporting function, collateral management, and database management for the CDF team. 
  • Assist with various responsibilities of the team (as shown below)

Collateral Management

  • Accessing client reports including monthly reports and financial statements
  • Reviewing borrowing bases for compliance with loan covenants and reviewing quality / data integrity of information received from clients
  • Checking adequacy of collateral provided to our trustees

Database Management

  • Maintaining/populating certain aspects of team’s database and publishing reports as needed
  • Assisting with data integrity exercises to ensure accuracy across team’s systems reporting
  • Collating data for different types of reporting done by our team

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a collateral management, database management or reporting role
  • Computing skills, particularly advanced Excel knowledge (VBA, macro writing, pivot tables, task simplification and automation etc.)  
  • Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis with high attention to detail
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
  • High level of personal motivation; strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills needed.  
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced production environment and juggle a variety of tasks both independently and as part of a team  
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, or related field

  • Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
