What We're Looking For

We are actively seeking a talented Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving an accurate month-end close, performing insightful financial analysis, and supporting critical accounting functions. As a key contributor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our financial operations and help shape the future of the company.

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for daily and monthly journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role will participate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial packages, account analysis, and ad hoc reporting. The successful candidate will be prepared to contribute to a fast-paced and growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Executing assigned tasks in a timely manner with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and post daily and monthly journal entries accurately and on schedule.
  • Develop knowledge of company’s operation, banking activities and maintain an accounting-focused mindset.

Reconciliations & Account Analysis

  • Prepare daily reconciliations of bank accounts.
  • Perform daily reconciliations between the general ledger and reporting software; resolve discrepancies by identifying root causes and collaborating with the appropriate functional or technical teams to maintain data integrity.
  • Substantiate general ledger accounts utilizing the Blackline reconciliation system.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Participate in and complete monthly fluctuation analysis on flagged accounts; provide commentary and responses.
  • Support reporting to the Regulatory and Financial Reporting team.
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Support general ledger activity to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Ensure the organization's financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines.
  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and policies to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with other teams, various departments, and internal/external auditors.
  • Provide support and backup to team members to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and drive process improvements, implementing best practices.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to meet the changing needs of the team.
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects to support the Finance group.
  • Communicate status frequently and escalate issue timely to manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA candidate preferred.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of accounting experience in a public or private setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Blackline and Workday or similar reconciliation systems is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Proactive team player with an eagerness to learn and grow.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00
