ALTERATION INSTALLATION TEAM COORDINATOR

Salary Range: $100602 - $130786 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as an ALTERATION INSTALLATION TEAM COORDINATOR in the Ocean Engineering Department (Code 120) of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will coordinate Alteration Installation Team (AIT) functions to support Temporary Alterations (TEMPALTs) to include Ships/Submarine of Opportunity (SOO), Manned Submersibles, Remotely Operational Vehicles (ROVs) and other systems.
  • You will coordinate with Ocean Engineering Department Production and Maintenance branch heads for refurbishment and timely delivery of equipment to meet mission requirements.
  • You will review and develop proposed engineering changes and implement approved changes in form of Technical Direction letters or other documents.
  • You will revise work priorities and schedules to support production efforts.
  • You will coordinate manpower and other resources to meet demands or priorities.
  • You will coordinate the mobilization, installation, and removal of all SOO TEMPALT equipment.
  • You will coordinate all AIT action, engineering changes, integration, mobilization, installation, removal, and logistics activities for approved TEMPALT ship sets.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading and managing Alteration Installation teams for special projects related to Ocean Engineering Programs; Experience with direct correspondence and guidance to all levels of management, engineers and technicians both verbally and written; Experience in maintaining effective communications with personnel at headquarters, directorate levels with a wide range of command, agency and private contractor personnel.
