Alliance Management Head

Position Purpose:

As a core role in Alliance Management, the primary objective is to ensure that the company's strategic alliances with external partners (including in-licensing BD partners) operate efficiently and collaboratively, achieving all strategic and financial goals outlined in agreements.

Adept at establishing governance frameworks, managing partnership portfolios, resolving disputes to drive the growth and maximize the value of the company's pipeline.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Partnership Management and Cooperation:

  • Manage strategic collaborations to ensure that goals for each alliance are achieved and the value for CSL and its partners is maximized。
  • Establish clear governance framework, communication mechanism and operation processes to ensure efficient and effective alliance with BD partners.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage responsibilities, mitigate risks, and ensure alliance objectives are achieved, and support cross-functional teams to prepare for interactions with partners. Be familiar and close enough to the details of the programs to manage day-to-day issues and to provide strategic directions to the teams
  • Drive joint meetings, and manage documents, the key discussion points and decisions taken at these meetings
  • Clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbally) alliance issues and possible resolutions to the various internal and partner stakeholders
  • Identify issues as they arise internally, or because of partner interactions, and work with the leadership team and other necessary stakeholders to formulate a position/strategy and participate and/or drive the resolution process
  • Timely and accurately report all financial elements in collaboration with finance and other teams.

Project Management and Support

  • Develop detailed project execution plans with clear objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and key milestones to ensure the achievement of Sales A and terminal purchase; be able to manage the inventory, agile to allocate the inventory when needed.
  • Track the monthly/ quarterly/yearly performance (incl. sales, marketing campaigns, market intelligence) of the project with partners and timely report to CSL when something matters to ensure the smooth operation and KPI achieved.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to analyze performance and develop joint business plans for the next cycle.
  • Cooperate with partners to develop and maintain a project dashboard, explore the potential opportunities and risks and provide resolutions through data analysis to maintain the sustainable increase
  • Provide other support to in-licensing evaluation as required and build in-license products value chain
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that meetings and the issuance of meeting agendas and minutes occur as set relevant acts.
  • Ensure distributor compliance with the terms of the distribution agreement, including sales territories, pricing policies, Drug Traceability Code scanning and access opening, DDI (distributors data integration) etc.

Contract Obligations

  • Work closely with legal team to amend and execute agreements as needed
  • Develop a deep understanding of contractual elements pertinent to each alliance
  • Oversee all contractual obligations, and be the go-to person internally and for partners on all alliance-related matters
  • Identify and bring disputes and issues that may result in disputes (including without limitation any asserted occurrence of a material breach by a Party) in a timely manner, and function as the point of first referral in all matters of conflict resolution.
  • Provide a single point of communication for seeking consensus both internally within the Parties' respective organizations and between the Parties.
  • Plan and coordinate cooperative efforts, internal communications and external communications between the Parties with respect to this Agreement.
  • Build a proactive mechanism to identify the opportunities and risks, collaborate with partners to dynamically adjust and add relevant terms based on the opportunities and risks.

Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or above in Science / Medical/ Biochemistry/ related field.
  • Prior experiences in Alliance Management/ Distribution Management / Retail Market and Hospital Market Management preferred.
  • Experience across multiple therapeutic areas with a current focus on oncology / immunology preferred.
  • Experience in albumin / Ig sales preferred.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
