Job Description:

Based in Madrid, you will work in a highly entrepreneurial and inspiring environment and become an integral part of our FIG team, specifically in the M&A area.

The day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Support in execution of active M&A mandates: Preparation of marketing materials, modelling and valuation analysis, data-room management, etc.
  • M&A Marketing initiatives: Market analyses of different industry verticals, preparation of market, strategic and industry peer analysis, screening of potential M&A targets / buyers, financial valuations, etc.

Analysts have direct exposure to all seniority levels internally, as well as direct client contact where possible. Alantra gives its Analysts significant responsibilities and is committed to their learning experience during their tenure with the firm.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background and results.
  • At least 1 year of experience from a leading investment bank, M&A boutique, leverage finance house or Big 4 accounting firm preferred. Previous experience in FIG is highly valued but not a strict requirement.
  • Excellent financial knowledge (accounting and company valuation) and understanding of financial statements.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute own ideas and work autonomously.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
  • Capable of working under pressure and in a context of shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency (both written and spoken) in English and Spanish is a requirement.
