Job Summary: Serves as an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist with the Technical Support Operations Group. Performs a variety of functions directly related to the operations of the NAS. Focus is on the availability and reliability of the services and products provided to the users of the NAS.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility that is appropriate to the position. Experience at the next lower level, that demonstrates knowledge of; Experience in equipment diagnosis, repair and evaluation of performance in the following systems(s) and service: Approach Lighting Systems, Visual Approach Slopes Indicator (VASI), Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI), Runway End Identifications Lights (REIL), Approach Lighting System with Flashers (ALSF), Air Conditioning, Hot Water Boiler heating systems, Chilled water-cooling systems, Power Condition Systems (PCS), Uninterpretable Power Systems (UPS), Engine Generator Systems. Generally, 52 weeks of experience at the next lower level, within the normal line of progression of an FV-2101, FV-H/FG-12/Level III or equivalent meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the Demonstrated Abilities identified in the announcement. Based on this evaluation, applicants will be placed in one of the following categories: score order, category grouping, or alphabetical and referred to the selecting official for consideration.
