What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. New hires are typically brought into the organization between $86,634 - $118,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location & Schedule

  • Hours: Shifts will fall between 8:00am-7:00pm; Evening and Overnight Shifts may be required for vendor oversight.

  • In this position you can expect to work on-site full time at Denver International Airport with the ability to respond to emergencies that may happen during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is looking for an Airport Services Administrator II to join our Airport Services Team. In this position you will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of airport services programs and contracts which may include supporting HVAC, Building, Electrical,  Janitorial and Airport Services programs. Administrators are expected to provide overall delivery service to DEN's airline partners, TSA, airport employees and our passengers. The Airport Services Administrator will ensure daily compliance with contract performance, high standard of services including but not limited to HVAC, Building, Electrical,  Janitorial to maximize customer experience at DEN.

DEN is looking for someone who is knowledgeable of maintenance, facility services scope of work requirements, planning for operational impacts to facilities, and emergency situations. The Airport Services Administrator should have experience and a strong understanding of program and project management skills needed to successfully plan, manage, and mitigate risk to daily operations while ensuring little to no impact to daily operations. The ideal candidate has a strong proactive mindset with a customer focus, works well with stakeholders across various leadership levels and industries to ensure a safe, clean, and operational facility with a high level of customer service.  The candidate should have experience working in a large facility managing multiple programs and associated contracts. The Airport Services Administrator will work directly with contractors and stakeholders to create, manage, and review contract scopes of work, contractor performance reports, present program objectives to airlines, concessionaires, TSA and other airport stakeholders to coordinate the resolution of operational issues that arise.

Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Manage several contracts related to the maintenance and facility operations for assigned programs and locations within the facility.
  • Assist with budget creation annually relating to your functional area/programs.
  • Monitor financial activities and prepare fiscal reports indicating the financial status of the contract. Review and analyze monthly invoices providing resolutions to any invoice discrepancies.
  • Monitor key performance metrics daily to include items such as staffing, cleaning, safety, training, materials, etc. Perform facility inspections to ensure minimal or no impacts to daily operations, employees, and passengers. Recognize potential on-the-job hazards and respond appropriately. Analyze problems, identify solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of department, division, agency, and citywide goals.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with contractors, off-site conferences, and as a liaison for stakeholder requests as needed.
  • Provide timely reports to leadership on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) progress, contract performance measures, budget, and project management. Prepare clear and concise analytical and statistical reports.
  • Determine compliance or non-compliance with contract requirements and performance measurements and recommend appropriate corrections, enforcement, and compliance action to remedy the compliance issues.
  • Interprets and explains rules, regulations, ordinances, and standards to property owners, contractors, and the public, if applicable, comply with standard safety rules and procedures common to the trade. Investigate complaints of services being provided.
  • Manage the development and implementation of performance criteria; provide quarterly reports to evaluate the sections goals and objectives. Recommend and implement goals, policies, and procedures for providing effective and efficient services and programs.
  • Respond to requests and inquiries from various stakeholders and the public. Coordinate associated work with other agencies, airline partners, concessionaires, and various DEN departments to achieve work objectives.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate has strong technology, administration, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in writing scopes of work, detailed event summaries, creating and interpreting reports. Someone who has facilitation, mediation, public speaking, and presentation skills are also important to present program information to a variety of audience members. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office 365 programs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Five (5) years of specific experience working with large facility, maintenance, or janitorial operational programs as a Program/Project Administrator, Operations/Shift Manager, Site Supervisor or Facility Services Supervisor.
  • Five (5) years experiences in contract and program management specific to maintenance and operational services.
  • Experience in airport maintenance and facility operations.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in a related field based on a specific position(s).
  • Experience Requirement: Five (5) years’ experience performing full performance professional level duties within a specialized, functional area. (This does not include clerical experience.)
  • Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
