Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR T32, PDD1738P01 and is part of the AZ 162nd Wing, National Guard.

Major Duties:

  • This position is located in Tucson, Arizona with the 162nd ARW. The purpose of this position is to supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated non-supervisory work. The occupation and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nature of the overall work operations supervised is Aircraft Ordnance Systems Mechanic, WG-6652-11. THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

Qualifications: Military Grades: TSgt/E-6 (immediately promotable) to MSgt/E-7 Compatible Military Assignments: 2W171 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In addition to the journeyman level knowledge (Experience or training in planning and layout of repair sequence and ability to complete modification, repair, and installation of ordnance systems. Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions and determining remedies where complex relationships exist. Experience in hand tools and the use of a variety of measuring and test equipment. Experience in interpreting technical directions, blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's specifications.), experience demonstrating the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments of lower grade personnel. Applicant must possess 36 months of experience which required the review of work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
