Job Summary: These are National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Positions. These position are Permanent WG-8852-10 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1366000 and are part of the MO 139th Airlift Wing. These are bargaining positions. These positions are also advertised on AGR announcement #AF25-082.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - MSgt (E-7) Minimum Military Grade - A1C (E-3) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess general experience, education or training which has provided the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications, and skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification; and coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. The specialized experience must also include the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container. Possession (or previous possession) of AFSC 2AXXX is optimum.
