The Opportunity:
Lead enterprise‑level solution strategy and technical architecture development for major Airborne Platform Modernization pursuits. As a capture leader, you will shape winning solutions across complex aircraft, mission systems, and platform integration efforts, converting broad customer mission needs into competitive, risk‑informed, and cost‑realistic offerings.
You will partner closely with Business Development, pricing, technical SMEs, and delivery leadership to define the solution vision, architect system‑of‑systems approaches, and ensure all elements, including technical, staffing, BOEs, compliance, and price, align to a compelling capture strategy. You’ll guide early shaping activities, build discriminating features, and position the company to win high‑value modernization and integration opportunities. This role also leads key industry and partner engagements to expand teaming footprint and strengthen long‑range pipeline objectives.
How You'll Contribute:
Drive senior‑level solution strategy and architecture development for airborne modernization pursuits, including aircraft‑level integration, mission systems, communications, avionics, and platform‑level upgrades.
Lead early capture shaping: operational concepts, candidate architectures, integration pathways, technical trades, risk posture, and requirements decomposition.
Develop and validate technical approaches tied to SRR, PDR, CDR, verification artifacts, and system integration baselines.
Oversee proposal technical volumes, compliance matrices, solution narratives, and integrated solution reviews to ensure defensible, compliant, and compelling submissions.
Partner with pricing and PTW teams to align technical solutions with cost models, burdening, and defensible BOEs.
Lead enterprise partnerships, OEM integrator relationships, and senior stakeholder engagement to advance teaming strategies and competitive differentiation.
Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, integration, and airworthiness risks, ensuring solutions are traceable, verifiable, and aligned with certification frameworks.
Guide color review readiness across gate reviews, ensuring solution coherence, staffing realism, competitive positioning, and traceability to customer priorities.
Mentor solution architects, capture leads, and engineering contributors across the pursuit lifecycle.

You Have:
8+ years of experience leading technical solution development, capture shaping, and architecture definition for aircraft, mission systems, or platform modernization efforts
Experience orchestrating solution volumes, compliance matrices, risk registers, technical trades, and cross‑discipline integration artifacts
Experience with Price‑to‑Win methodologies, competitive analysis, cost‑volume development, Pro Pricer, and defensible BOE creation
Experience engaging senior customers, integrators, OEMs, and mission stakeholders to translate needs into differentiated solution strategies
Knowledge of airworthiness, MIL‑HDBK‑516, flight test integration, and system verification approaches, such as DT/OT coordination
Knowledge of avionics and mission system integration across platforms, including architectures, such as MIL‑STD‑1553, advanced datalinks, and sensor fusion
Knowledge of structured capture governance, color reviews, and solution gating to ensure capture alignment and technical credibility
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
5+ years of experience in capture management for major modernization or integration efforts, including modern contracting options like Other Transactional Authorities, Commercial Solution Offerings and enterprise contracting constructs
Experience in OEM or integrator program leadership and execution, and multi‑program execution
Knowledge of test strategy leadership, verification planning, and multi‑range execution
TS/SCI clearance
DAU or Shipley Capture certifications
Pro Pricer, FAR, and DFARS cost principles certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
