The AI Operations Engineer exists to unlock faster delivery of new AI functionality by owning the reliability, maintenance, and evolution of production AI-enabled systems. The AI Operations team sits at the heart of Sonatype’s strategy, enabling AI-powered insights that support Go-To-Market and internal decision-making. We operate fast, experiment often, and focus on making sure what we build continues to deliver value long after it reaches production.

This is a mid-level Individual Contributor role with end-to-end ownership of live systems, operating at the intersection of AI, production operations, and Go-To-Market enablement. As AI Ops Engineer, you’ll own the running of AI-enabled systems so our Build teams can focus on what they do best: creating new AI functionality. You’ll ensure our production tools are reliable, secure, and continuously improving — and you’ll have real influence over how those systems evolve.

In summary, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating systems end-to-end, improving what already exists, and working close to the business impact of AI.
