[What the role is]

What the role is:
You will be part of a dynamic team that drives transformation of Singapore's maritime industry and grows Singapore as a Global Leading Maritime Technology Hub. The Governance & Administration (GA) team develops and maintains effective governance and efficient processes for the industry funds, grant schemes, programmes, and MOUs under the Innovation, Technology and Talent Development division.

This is a 1 year contract position under recruitment agency.

[What you will be working on]

What you will be working on:

As part of the GA team, your key duties and responsibilities include:

(a) Grant Processing and Administration

- Process grant claims and disbursements, including reviewing documentations, clarifying requirements with grant applicants and project managers, and issuing offer letters.

(b) Data Management and Reporting

- Assist the GA team in data collection and reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

(c) Administrative and Operational Support

- Support the division's finance/budgeting and procurement functions, while providing administrative and logistics support to the division. This includes calendar management, organising meetings/events, supporting the division's knowledge management, and system access management.

(d) You will also play a supporting role in the following areas:

i. Reviewing and implementing policies, guidelines, SOPs, and templates that enhance the division's objectives and processes.

ii. Reporting and presenting KPIs of the division's industry funds to the MPA Board, management meetings and stakeholders.

iii. Developing and managing the division's grant management system and anomaly/fraud detection system.

iv. Recommending and sourcing external funds that MPA could leverage for industry development.

v. Conducting industry consultations, surveys and interviews relating to the industry funds.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in grants administration, project management, or government operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with data analysis and report preparation
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Customer service orientation when dealing with grant applicants and stakeholders
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes
