The Agricultural Quality Specialist will ensure the quality and safety of the cranberry supply throughout the supply chain. You will implement quality control processes and standards for receiving operations to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations. Additionally, you will collaborate with various Ag teams to drive value for our grower-owners, identify opportunities for procedure improvement, and support broader food safety and quality measures for the Cooperative.

A Day in the Life...

• Responsible for efforts related to measuring, monitoring and enhancing the quality of Ocean Spray’s cranberry supply​. • ​​Works to ensure that all documented policies and procedures, related to fruit sampling and quality testing, are properly executed and that the training of employees in quality standards and lab testing is fully completed​. • ​​Support efforts to ensure the proper sampling, measurement and evaluation of cranberry quality. Working with the Ag Operations Quality team, identify opportunities for improvement of current process and procedure and support efforts to implement Network-wide improvement.​ ​​• ​​Help drive consistency across the Regions for all fruit quality related activities. Provide training and support for quality staff, and production employees in the areas of GMP’s, analytical testing, sampling, lab practices, auditing, problem solving, and statistical analysis.​ • ​​Support food safety efforts of the Ag Operations group. Help ensure that the activities of the regional team align with Cooperative goals and deliver value for member growers. Support alignment with Ag Science group on activities related to research, outreach, food safety, fruit quality, Ag Sustainability​. • ​​Provide audit support for local Receiving Operations and key ingredient customers. • Partnering with other Cooperative Development members and Corporate management, help establish and foster positive Grower-Owner relations and support ongoing Cooperative communications programs to meet Grower needs.​ • ​​Backup SQF Practitioner for assigned location​.

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Preferred)

Work Experience:

At least 1 Year of Experience

Annual Salary:

$61,000 - $84,000 CAD
