This is a shape the future role, not an operational advice position. The Advice Executive defines what advice will look like tomorrow—how it is delivered, experienced, governed, and scaled—ensuring the organisation remains relevant, trusted, and competitive in a rapidly changing market.
The Advice Executive is a senior leadership role accountable for defining, leading, and evolving the Advice Strategy for Personal Finance. The role shapes the future direction of advice across the business, ensuring it remains client centric, future ready, commercially sustainable, and digitally enabled, while maintaining the highest professional and regulatory standards.Key focus of the role:

Advice Strategy & Leadership
Define and lead the end-to-end Advice Strategy for Personal Finance, aligned to the broader business and customer strategy.
Set the long term vision and roadmap for the advice function, balancing human advice excellence with digital enablement.
Act as a senior thought leader on advice within the organisation and the broader industry.
Future Focused Advice Model
Drive innovation within the advice ecosystem, responding to:
Changing client needs and expectations
Regulatory evolution
Digital and platform enabled advice models
Ensure the advice model remains scalable, sustainable, and fit for future growth.
Commercial & Strategic Impact
Embed advice as a core commercial capability that drives customer outcomes, retention, and long term value.
Influence senior stakeholders across business, technology, and financial services to align on advice led growth priorities.
Translate strategic intent into clear execution priorities and measurable outcomes.
Governance & Professional Standards
Uphold and strengthen professional advice standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory, ethical, and best practice frameworks.
Act as a custodian of advice quality, professionalism, and client trust.
External & Industry Engagement (Optional / Nice to Have)
Represent the organisation externally where appropriate through industry forums, thought leadership, or professional networks.
Leverage personal or organisational profile (e.g. LinkedIn or industry platforms) to enhance the credibility of the advice function.
Reviewing financial models, data, spreadsheets, budgets and reports, and translating quantitative information into easily communicable findings or implications
Collaborate with Provincial General Managers (PGMs) to create accurate and achievable budgets and forecasts.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, offering clear insights into performance against goals.
Monitor budget performance, explaining deviations and identifying risks and opportunities.
Create dashboards and visualizations to present complex financial data.
Assist with input for strategic initiatives, including investments, cost-saving opportunities, and growth strategies.
Assist with ad hoc analyses to evaluate business opportunities or address specific operational challenges.
Cleaning of data using Power Pivot, Power Query, modelling tools
Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes
Responsible for building strong working relationships with internal clients.
The ideal candidate will have a mix of technical knowledge, understanding of OM distribution and influencing skills to support implementation.
Role Requirements
Professional Qualifications
CFP® designation (essential)
Relevant degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or Financial Services
Experience
Strong background in financial services, with deep exposure to advice led environments.
Proven experience in advice leadership, strategy, or enterprise level advisory roles.
Experience operating at a strategic level, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping long-term direction.
Capabilities & Attributes
Strategic, future oriented thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
Strong understanding of the evolving advice landscape, including technology enabled advice.
Comfortable operating across business, technology, and financial services domains.
High credibility with professional advisors and senior leaders alike.
