About the role

It’s an exciting time to join Perth Energy!

Due to internal movements, we’re looking for a Customer Operations Administrator to join our Perth Energy (C&I) team on a 12 month fixed term role in our Perth office.

This role will see you playing a key role in supporting day‑to‑day business operations, customer outcomes and office functionality.

This role is central to ensuring accurate and timely administration across billing systems, customer contracts, office operations and internal business support, while delivering high‑quality service to Perth Energy customers and internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Support, you will work closely with Retail, Billing, Customer Operations and external energy partners to help drive operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Administer Energy Service Agreements (ESAs), including validation, execution and customer liaison

  • Maintain accurate customer and contract data in billing systems

  • Provide professional customer support via phone and email, resolving or escalating queries and issues

  • Support day‑to‑day Perth office operations including meetings, travel, supplies and facilities coordination

  • Liaise with Western Power and ATCO on service orders, new connections and churn processes

  • Provide general administrative and business support to internal teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working

About you

You’ll bring a strong administrative foundation and a customer‑focused mindset, along with:

  • Demonstrated experience in office administration or business support roles

  • Strong procedural capability with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good numeracy skills and confidence working with calculations and validation checks

  • Strong IT capability, particularly across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Experience using billing or accounting systems such as Gentrack or SAP (desirable)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence handling complex or sensitive customer conversations

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines

  • A collaborative, approachable “can‑do” attitude with strong stakeholder engagement skills

  • Experience in the energy sector or utilities environment (desirable but not essential)
