Administrative Support (Student Wage)

Charlottesville, VA Part time

The UVA Clubs Global Network, part of the Office of Engagement at the University of Virginia, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented administrative support student worker to support event preparation logistics and assist with various office duties.

This is a hands-on role ideal for a student interested in gaining administrative, operational, and systems experience within a university setting. We are looking for someone to work with us through early summer. The intern’s role will be reassessed for the possibility of continuing throughout the remainder of the summer based on departmental needs and performance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Event Logistics & Support

• Organize and inventory promotional items and UVA Clubs giveaways.
• Assist in assembling and packing supply boxes for major events such as Accepted Student Celebrations, the Jefferson Book Award Program, and Summer Socials.
• Perform additional administrative or logistical tasks as assigned by the UVA Clubs Project Associate or departmental staff.
• Assignments may also include data entry.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule:

2 days per week | 2–4 hours per day (varies depending on the needs of the department)

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $19.00

Proposed Start Date:

March 23, 2026 – May 31, 2026

Continuation beyond May 31 may be considered depending on departmental needs and intern performance.

Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. However, the job does occasionally require lifting boxes or supplies up to 50lbs. at a maximum.
