Mount Holyoke College seeks a collaborative and creative Research & Instruction Librarian to support teaching, research, and information literacy across the campus community. As part of the Research and Instructional Support team within Library, Information, & Technology Services (LITS), this role partners with faculty and students to strengthen research skills, develop library collections, and contribute to an engaging academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Teach research and information literacy sessions across disciplines.
Provide one-on-one research consultations for students and support for faculty research assignments and projects.
Develop and manage subject-based library collections in collaboration with faculty.
Offer workshops and co-curricular programming on research, information literacy, and related topics.
Participate in outreach, campus programming, and library, college, or consortium committees.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse communities.
Commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience in research support, teaching, or libraries preferred.
Education
ALA-accredited MLS/MLIS (or equivalent), or an advanced degree with significant professional library experience.

Additional Information
Reports to the Head of Research Services; no supervisory responsibilities.
Hybrid schedule eligible (up to one remote day per week during the academic term).
Occasional evening or weekend campus events may be required.
Starting Salary: $76,806-$99,847 (commensurate with comparable experience)
