In this position you can expect to work on site at Denver Wastewater, located at 2000 W. 3rd Ave., Denver, CO 80223. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Wastewater Management within DOTI oversees all wastewater functions, including the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City’s sanitary and storm systems. The division also manages key administrative responsibilities such as implementing policies, establishing cost controls, setting fees to maintain a sustainable revenue base that supports operational needs and capital improvement programs, and responding to customer inquiries related to sewer and storm drainage service charges.
The team is seeking an Administrative Support Assistant IV to support the System Maintenance team. In this role, you will:
Explain relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to internal and external customers.
Review and verify forms, applications, and documents for accuracy and compliance.
Assess information, determine facts, and make decisions in situations where errors could be costly in time or resources.
Prepare and process documents and forms in accordance with legal guidelines and procedures.
Recommends improvements or solutions to problems.
Provide information, identify issues within a defined scope, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on requests or complaints.
Handle sensitive inquiries and make reliable decisions to resolve problems.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including assisting with new employee onboarding and device setup.
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
2 years’ experience working with ArcGIS
2 years’ experience working with storm and sanitary sewer systems
1 year experience dispatching field crews for customer complaints
1 year customer service experience working with internal/external customer
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and Powerpoint
Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of full performance office support/clerical work (type and level of an Administrative Support Assistant III).
Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.
