Day: 8 hoursJob Description
Provides direct supervisory support to the office staff and assists with the day-to-day operations of the department including quality improvement, regulatory requirements, services billing, prior authorization, budget preparation and tracking, and intra-inter-departmental communication. Job duties also include data collection / reporting, investigating issues as requested, coordinating schedules, supporting department operations, patient scheduling, patient registration, coordinating activities of front and back office staff and handling issues related to Accreditation Regulations and Licensure.
1. Associates’ degree in health administration, accounting, office administration or related field (or equivalent education/training)
2. Five years of administrative and/or operational support (preferably in a health care setting)
3. Knowledge of medical billing and authorization processes in an outpatient clinic or physician office
4. Knowledge of medical terminology and basic accounting principles.
5. Strong computer skills in word processing, data spreadsheets, and preparing presentations.
6. Excellent customer service/patient relations skills and written communication skills including drafting and editing letters, reports, and presentations.
7. Numerical aptitude with ability to identify and calculate co-insurances and deductible amounts.
8. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Salary Range:
