Works under general supervision and provides administrative support for a unit or specialized activity to include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
A Presidential Proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on all new H‑1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025, and Texas A&M University–Central Texas will not pay this fee. Additionally, a moratorium issued by Governor Abbott on January 27, 2026, restricts the filing of new H‑1B petitions unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Responsibilities:
Participate in the planning and execution of administrative operations. May serve as the office manager.
Monitors office procedures. Develops, evaluates, and ensures adherence to office procedures.
Reviews documents for supervisor.
Attend meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor.
Analyzes requirements for projects or initiatives.
Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing management policies or operating practices. Develop administrative and technical procedures.
Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
Performs special analyses and project summaries.
Coordinates travel arrangements and prepare itineraries. Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events and may provide on-site support. -Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office
supplies, or equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
Hire, trains and supervise student workers and support staff.
Assists with event logistics including RSVP tracking, nametag preparation, guest communications, and setup/take-down both on and off campus.
Supports departmental purchasing, prepares budget tracking documents, and reconciles procurement card transactions.
Maintains and updates alumni and donor records in relevant databases (e.g., CRM or advancement software).
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Interpersonal and communication skills. Planning and organization skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience.
Salary: $44,000
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am to 5pm; night and weekends as needed.
Supervision of Others: This position does not supervise employees.
Work Location: This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
