The Administrative Assistant supports the daily HR functions within the facility and/or group homes, ensuring support of employee needs. This role serves as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related inquiries, including timekeeping, payroll, pay slips, paid time off (PTO), and various leave programs. Additionally, the HR Assistant is responsible for onboarding and assisting with key HR administrative tasks to support a positive employee experience.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, including payroll, timekeeping, PTO, benefits, and leave programs.
  • Assist with recruitment and hiring processes, including drafting offer letters, coordinating background checks, and posting internal job vacancies.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with HR policies, maintaining accurate and organized personnel records.
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Maintain organized filing systems
  • Manning Front Desk (If needed)
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with coordination of community outreach events, health fairs, and IDD awareness initiatives
  • Support creation and distribution of marketing materials (flyers, brochures, newsletters) tailored to individuals and families in the IDD community
  • Help manage social media content scheduling to promote IDD programs and services

Pre-employment screening:

  • Complete criminal background
  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
