ICF is seeking a motivated Administrative and Data Entry Assistant to join our team to support a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) contract, the Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT), located at Fort Meade in Maryland. The team performs soil, water, air, waste, and tissue sample analysis and data validation for chemical contaminants primarily in support of EPA’s Superfund program. The team also supports EPA’s ambient air monitoring programs under the Clean Air Act.
The Administrative and Data Entry Assistant will assist and potentially lead a variety of tasks in support of data management, report preparation, scheduling, invoicing, and administration duties needed to keep the office organized and functioning well. This multi-faceted position will require working with a variety of staff with various technical backgrounds to support their projects and their daily office needs. Daily interactions with staff and clients will require a candidate with a professional and positive demeanor both in person and on the phone. The successful candidate should have a combination of interpersonal and analytical skills that will make you an effective member of our team from the day you arrive. The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain authorization for access to Fort Meade and U.S. EPA Environmental Science Center. This position is hybrid with 2 days on site in the Ft. Meade office location.
Key Responsibilities
Work as part of the team to support laboratory operations and quality assurance activities.
Track workload and work products, including database entry and reporting.
Assist with preparing and distributing work products and weekly and monthly reports.
Manage office needs including ordering supplies, meeting set-up, and facilitating any IT or facility issues.
Prepare basic correspondence.
Prepare basic schedules, calendar, and timeline documents.
Format items in Word or Excel.
With training, provide laboratory operations support, such as inventories and glassware cleaning, as needed.
Required Qualifications:
High School Degree or equivalent years of experience
2+ years of related experience, preferably in the environmental analytical field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook)
Experience using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including formulas, locking cells, hiding, filtering, subtotals, etc.
MUST be authorized to work in the US; MUST be able to pass an EPA background check to obtain access to U.S. federal property
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Government consulting support experience
Experience working at DoD, EPA, or other Federal facilities
Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Capable of working independently
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
