Your part in our UnitingCare team
The Early Childhood Approach (ECA) service works as a Partner in the Community delivering the NDIS, supporting children and their families up to the age of 9 years, who have a disability, developmental delay or concern.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll contribute to the efficient delivery of the Early Childhood Approach (ECA), by performing a range of administrative and financial functions to support the service’s management and operational team.
Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Be the first point of contact for the ECA service for both families and other stakeholders across four service areas, including management of incoming phone calls, inbox enquiries, welcoming and directing families and visitors and providing information regarding the service’s functions and services.
Assist in the maintenance of financial records and processing of a range of financial transactions, including but not limited to processing incoming/outgoing invoices and petty cash.
Prepare reports and other documentation and maintain databases and other recording/information systems.
Participate in regular supervision, team meetings, performance planning and
professional development
Oversee and support site related responsibilities, including Workplace Health & Safety and property maintenance requests.
What makes a difference for us?
Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, Social Science, Business and/or relevant experience, expertise and competence attained through previous service or study sufficient to perform duties at this level.
Current Queensland Driver’s License
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
NDIS Worker Screening
Demonstrated ability to apply professional knowledge and initiative to administrative support practices and procedures.
Sound organisational skills with the ability to respond to changing priorities in a busy, Family focused office environment.
Demonstrated competence in the day to day use of Microsoft Office Software, in particular Word and Excel.
Well-developed problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with people at all levels in a variety of situations.
Must be eligible to legally work in Australia
