Job Description

The Department of Counseling, Health & Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants for a non- tenure track adjunct faculty position in our undergraduate and graduate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program that began in Spring 2026. Responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in the ABA degree program. Quality performance will be expected in teaching. Additionally, the adjunct faculty will prepare and teach the assigned class following a syllabus guideline. The adjunct faculty will maintain appropriate records, assign earned grades, report needed data to the department, and complete all necessary development assessment information. Work hours depend on course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in ABA, special education, psychology, or a related educational field.

  • 18 graduate hours in a field related to the ABA program of studies.

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

  • Licensed Behavior Analyst in Texas.

  • Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability in working with multicultural populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience mentoring students in ABA.

  • Experience with educational technology and distance learning.

  • Teaching and supervisory experience.
