Based on course content, wages will range from $1,297.00 per credit to $3,753.00 per credit.
In certain instances, due to low enrollment, faculty payment will be based on part-time per credit pay and pro-rated on a 10% per student basis.
Part-time employees also receive some benefits depending on the number of hours worked.

Job Duties:
Should have the knowledge/experience necessary to teach in the following areas:
Local and wide area networking using Microsoft 2008/2012 Server including Active Directory.
Creating and deploying DHCP, DNS, file and application servers.
Creating network policy user policy and profiles.
Basic network scripting using Powershell, batch files
and /or VB script.
Creating and deploying multi-platform workstations and stand-along servers. OS’s to include but not limited to Windows, LINUX, and MAC.
Understanding of TCP/IP networking and other networking protocols.
Knowledge on how to analyze, troubleshoot and fix network problems remotely and on-site.
Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, Access.
Teach – interact with students to provide opportunities to learn, create conditions that facilitate learning, and using techniques and methods that create a high probability that learning will occur.
Minimum Qualifications:
For the following course: CIS 1018:
Master's degree in business administration with information technology emphasis or master's degree in computer information systems or computer science or master's degree from the above list including 18 graduate level credit hours in one of the disciplines they will be teaching plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Bachelor's degree in a computer related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years OR
Associate of applied science degree in a computer related field plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following courses: CIS 1045, 1075, 2018, 2020, 2040, 2043, 2055, 2067, 2082:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, computer information systems, business administration with information or computer systems emphasis, cyber security, or engineering plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR
Associate of applied science degree in related area plus 4,000 hours of industry experience within the last seven years. Experience older than seven years will be considered if the candidate has been continuously teaching in the content area since that time.
For the following course: CIS 1055:
Bachelor’s degree in business, business education, or related business field plus 2,000 hours of relevant industry experience within the last seven years OR

Previous teaching experience in Computer Information Systems.
Ability to coordinate curriculum presented in a Distance Learning format. Currently the college utilizes Desire to Learn Course Management software.

Preferred Qualifications:
Technical awareness of Packet Capturing Tools such as Wireshark, Network Miner, etc.
Knowledge on how to maintain and administer perimeter security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
Information Security professional with a strong cyber security background in one or more of the following topic areas: Intrusion Detection and Mitigation, Malware Analysis, Network Defense, Traffic Analysis and O/S Security.
Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
