Job Summary:

The Actuarial Associate Advisor supports Dental Economics by delivering advanced analytics on network costs, utilization, provider contracting, and trend analysis across the book of business. This role collaborates with business leaders to enhance provider contracting models, optimize performance, and improve predictive accuracy. The position requires strong technical and analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to lead initiatives that drive business impact in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Role to support Dental Economics including analytics of client-level network cost and utilization, provider-level network contracting and negotiations, and book of business trend analytics.
• Works in collaboration with business leaders to maintain and enhance existing provider contracting models, proactively identifying areas where models can be optimized for performance, and enhancing methodology to improve predictive accuracy of model output.
• Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.

Qualifications: 

• At least 8 -11  years professional work experience in an actuarial or related field 

• Completed and passed at least 2 actuarial exams, preferably SOA 

• A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance economics, data analytics or related major 

• Outstanding technical skills: Excel proficiency preferred, coding experience in Python, R, SQL, a plus 

• Analytical skills: Ability to think critically, problem solve and drive business impact 

• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills  

• Strong demonstrated ability to lead paired with initiative and curiosity 

• Commitment to professional development and learning the business of healthcare
