Actuarial Analyst - Pricing

Why This Role Matters:

We are inviting Society of Actuaries members with the ASA designation to join the Group 1001 as an Actuarial Analyst on our Annuity Pricing team. This actuarial analyst plays a key role on our pricing team building and maintaining models for new product development, product management, and regulatory needs. We offer a very successful student actuarial program. This is a great opportunity to continue progress towards the FSA designation through the support of Actuarial Student Program. Our rotation program offers you the environment to build and develop competencies in roles across functional areas gaining product knowledge in our life and annuity business.

This is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of 2 days in our Zionsville, Indiana corporate office.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Build, maintain and enhance actuarial models and processes for various purposes (primarily pricing, rate setting, and model development) in support of corporate objectives, regulatory needs, and product management.
  • Produce, summarize, analyze and communicate results including the implications of the results to other relevant work
  • Provide peer review as requested.
  • Design, test, and review model enhancements in support of new product features, new or updated product assumptions, new model versions and techniques, and/or other business requirements.
  • Continually improve processes related to data quality and model efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure adequate governance and documentation of actuarial processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional individuals throughout the organization to optimize results.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests and special projects as needed.
  • Continue progress towards FSA designation offered by Society of Actuaries through company supported Actuarial Student Program.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, finance, economics, math, statistics, physics, engineering or related field.
  • A minimum of 2+ years actuarial experience in a professional
  • Society of Actuaries ASA designation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication (oral/written), project management, and solution
  • finding skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel (including VBA) and database tools (Microsoft Access, SQL, Python, Power BI, etc.)
  • Experience with actuarial software (ALFA, Triton, and/or CASE preferred).
  • Self-starter with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
