The ACE Delivery Lead is responsible for leading the delivery of all change activity across the ACE platform (for Arriva UK Trains, Arriva UK Bus and future product clients) in line with functional, compliance and legal requirements.
The role works with ACE Product Managers, the AUKT testing team and ACE supplier(s) in leading the planning and delivery of continuous releases for all ACE clients, including the synergies and dependences between those releases. The role is additionally responsible for leading the technical design/development of the product,
and optimising and steering the supplier(s) managed service team.
We are looking for an ACE Delivery Lead to join our ACE Team within our UK Corporate Services Function on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will be based from our Lacon House office, London.
Direct responsibilities:
• To lead the technical design, delivery and development of the Arriva Customer Engine (‘ACE’) based on functional, compliance and legal requirements.
• To be responsible for the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of ACE (Bus and Trains platforms), ensuring the highest quality product is delivered on time and to budget.
• To work with and steer partners/suppliers to provide a value-adding, cost effective, sustainable digital retail platform to Arriva clients, from a development and managed service perspective.
• To work with ACE Product Managers and suppliers to deliver changes via change request and continuous improvement processes, ensuring defects, risks and dependencies are managed appropriately.
• To co-ordinate user acceptance testing with the AUKT IT and Digital testing team, defining appropriate entry and exit criteria and communicating release details and schedules to product managers and client stakeholders.
• To work collaboratively with Group T&S and InfoSec colleagues to ensure business risk is aligned to Group policy; that ACE meets all legal and regulatory requirements; that ACE aligns to the Group architectural strategy; and that ACE operates in accordance with Arriva’s Cyber Security and Information Assurance Policy Framework.
• To be a digital subject matter expert and work collaboratively with colleagues in divisional and Group teams to develop the ACE platform in the wider Arriva digital landscape.
• To support the Arriva UK Trains, UK Bus and Group Bid & Business Development teams to provide ACE and related digital solutions to support corporate bids,
tenders and acquisition activity
Knowledge, skills & experience:
• Proven track record in delivering, operating and optimising digital platforms
• Proven experience of working with agile digital product development teams and associated techniques
• Excellence in understanding customer and business requirements and transforming them into sustainable technical solutions
• Experienced in successfully managing internal and external suppliers
• Experienced in digital incident and crisis management
• Understanding and experience of different technologies and technical architectures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Success criteria & indicators:
• BAU delivery of the ACE platform to its clients and customers to an excellent standard of service, reliability and stability within budgetary constraints
• Development, delivery and operation of the ACE platform against defined KPIs
• Managing the continuous improvement delivery pipeline and reporting on the progress and delivery of approved Change Requests
• Successful compliance with all relevant accreditation, legal and regulatory requirements for the platform
• Successful delivery of current and future product releases, and support the
development of business cases
