And at the European Shared Services Center based in Cornellà de Llobregat, with more than 300 employees, we support the group's various subsidiaries of all Europe and other regions. We have built an outstanding multicultural environment composed by employees of around 30 different nationalities.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with English and Polish for our office based in Cornellá (Barcelona), for a temporary contract.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and resolving incoming inquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, including suppliers, buyers, and requisitioners. The role ensures timely and accurate resolution of complex vendor discrepancies by liaising closely with internal Air Products teams and external suppliers.

In addition, the role supports continuous improvement initiatives, including new countries and process implementations, acting as a subject matter expert for country-specific requirements.

As Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:

  • Receive, sort, log, and respond to incoming queries from suppliers, buyers, and requisitioners in a timely and professional manner.

  • Investigate and resolve complex vendor discrepancy issues by applying standard processes and detailed problem-solving skills.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Accounts Payable, Procurement, Vendor Master Data teams) and external suppliers to achieve effective query resolution.

  • Reconcile vendor accounts and ensure accuracy of balances.

  • Support the Accounts Payable invoice entry team when required.

  • Report on and maintain standard business metrics and KPIs.

  • Lead or support new country and process implementations, acting as the expert on country-specific requirements.

  • Provide backup support for other countries depending on language capabilities.

  • Perform ad hoc tasks and participate in projects as required.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll at least need:

Qualifications

  • Business-related education, preferably with a specialization in Accounts Payable or Finance.

  • Fluent Polish and fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Strong computer skills; SAP experience (preferably MM/FI modules) is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is beneficial.

Experience

  • 2–3 years of exposure to a business or office environment (including internships or work experience), preferably within an Accounts Payable or Finance function.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures.

  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Comfortable working under time pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality.
