A day in the life

Join our Energy Accounting team for a hands-on work study experience supporting Prologis’ growing Energy Solutions platform, which delivers solar, battery storage, EV charging, and electrification solutions across our global portfolio. Our team supports the financial reporting and accounting for these initiatives, playing a key role behind the scenes of cutting-edge clean energy infrastructure.

In this 12-week, part-time role, you’ll assist with day-to-day accounting activities that support accurate financial reporting and scalable processes within our clean energy business. You’ll gain exposure to general ledger accounting, reconciliations, reporting tools, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This opportunity is ideal for students based in the Denver area. We offer flexible scheduling to support your academic commitments—typically around 20 hours per week during the semester. The 12-week program may be extended based on business needs and mutual interest.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries and support monthly accrual processes.
  • Support account and job costing reconciliations by gathering documentation and researching variances.
  • Involvement in our capital expenditure help desk and transfer cost process.
  • Help compile data for monthly energy reporting and variance analysis.
  • Account for sales taxes on Energy Solutions revenues and support filing process.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, including the use of automation and AI tools to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Work within key financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Sigma, Yardi, EPM, and Smartsheet.
  • Provide administrative and project support for special initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, with at least two years of undergraduate coursework completed.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • A proactive mindset and strong sense of responsibility in delivering accurate, timely work.
  • Proficiency in Excel and an eagerness to learn new systems and tools.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across teams and locations.
  • Enjoys solving problems and brings a mindset of innovation to improving processes.
  • Thinks critically and asks thoughtful questions that demonstrate understanding and drive deeper learning.
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully, whether working independently or on a team.
  • Brings a positive, can-do attitude—even when faced with challenges.

Hiring Salary of: $25.00/hour.
