Your Role in Synergy's Success

The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role oversees daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in the monthly close process, budget preparation, and financial analysis, while also driving process improvements and automation initiatives.

How You Will Contribute

  • Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general ledger accountants.

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.  This includes monitoring close timelines and deliverables, reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and analyzing reserves intercompany eliminations.

  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with internal teams and senior management.

  • Assist in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

  • Prepare, review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

  • Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.

  • Drive process improvements and financial automation processes (robotic process automation, AP automation, Onestream, ect.)

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor in Accounting or Finance degree required.
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • 8+ years of Accounting /Finance experience, 1+ years managing people
  • Good understanding of business processes in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects and produce high quality work under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of accounting and reporting systems (D365, Onestream, Excel)
  • Ability to analyze financial data and projections.
  • Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking and detail-oriented
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Reporting To: Controller

Salary Range: $89,000 - $129,000

The actual compensation that you will be offered will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience and other relevant factors. This role will remain open until filled.
