Our Headquarters are located on the Torrey Pines Mesa, in La Jolla, California at the center of the biotech hub. Our Manufacturing facility is in Sorrento Valley.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to support our accounting department, with an emphasis on accounts payable. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and is eager to grow within an accounting team. While prior accounts payable experience is preferred, we are open to training a sharp, highly organized candidate with strong foundational skills and a willingness to learn.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately and timely
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips to ensure accuracy
• Prepare and enter journal entries as assigned
• Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and vendor accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain organized accounting files and electronic records
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payment or billing issues
• Assist the accounting team with audits and ad hoc projects

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (completed or in progress)
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounts payable experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies
• Strong communication and time-management abilities
• Proficiency in Excel required; advanced skills a plus

 

The estimated base hourly range for this role based in the United States of America is: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Should the level of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable salary range may be updated accordingly.
