Salary Range: $143913 - $187093 Per Year

Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will review reconciliations and reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness and provide Marine Corps wide policy and oversight on a variety of operating accounting and financial reporting matters.
  • You will evaluate and determines accounting data requirements for programs.
  • You will develop procedural manuals, methods, and directives for the validation of accounting data.
  • You will maintain a comprehensive review and analysis of all executive, legislative, and regulatory actions to ensure that all data requirements are imposed and are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • You will serve as an expert authority on analysis and reconciliation of complex, integrated accounts for a variety of accounting systems.

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing technical research to create and analyze financial reports AND general ledger accounting (debits/credits); AND utilizing data analytics tools (e.g. MS Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python or Qlik Sense) to perform reviews and tasks Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0500/accounting-series-0510/ Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
