In tax accounting services at PwC, you will assist businesses in preparing and reviewing tax provisions, tax returns, and financial statements, confirming compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

The role
The successful candidate will:
- Oversee and perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for high-volume transactional environments (FMCG / retail), including processing, verification and posting of financial transactions.
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including supplier invoices, payment runs and reconciliations, in accordance with internal policies and control procedures.
- Reconcile sub-ledgers and general ledger accounts (including trade payables, expenses, inventory and cash); identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Perform monthly vendor and intercompany balance reconciliations and maintain professional communication with suppliers and business counterparts.
- Maintain fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, disposals, depreciation and supporting documentation for retail / operational assets.
- Review and post employee expense claims in the accounting system.
- Operate and control data in internal financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g.Oracle, Logo Tiger etc).
- Support inventory and cost-related accounting processes, including reconciliation of stock movements and cost of sales in coordination with operations.
- Actively support internal and external audits, including preparation of reconciliations, schedules and audit support files.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping, preferably within FMCG, retail or high-volume transactional businesses (Big4 or professional services background is an advantage).
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations;
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records;
- Good understanding of IFRS and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with inventory, revenue and cost accounting is a strong asset.
- Hands-on experience in tax compliance and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets and accounting/ERP systems.
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English; Turkish is an asset.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for working within multi-country project teams.
