Major Duties:

  • You will serve as an ACCOUNTANT in the FM SYSTEMS DIVISION (N84) of the NAVY RESERVE FORCE (NAVRESFOR) located in NORFOLK, VA.
  • You will apply knowledge of accounting principles, methods, techniques, and financial management/automated accounting systems to perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, audit and financial management assignments.
  • You will review or evaluate new information such as policy statements, regulatory directives, and legislation to identify their effect on execution of financial accounting systems and the need to establish new systems or modify existing ones
  • You will participate in the developing, debugging or improving of automated financial data and reporting.
  • You will plan, develop, and coordinate financial management system improvements.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying working level knowledge of accounting principles, methods, techniques. Experience working with financial management and accounting systems. Experience resolving system, accounting, or data entry problems. Experience utilizing SABRS, NERP, ADVANA, CFMS, DTS, EDA, and other similar automated systems. Experience performing survey work to identify potential operating problems with FM systems. Experience studying and revising existing systems or design of subsystems.
