Accounts Receivable Clerk – Royal Waste Services (Queens, NY)

Starting Pay: $22–$23 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Royal Waste Services is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Queens, NY team. This role is essential to maintaining financial accuracy, supporting customer relationships, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding accounts. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable communicating professionally with customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile Accounts Receivable and cash accounts
• Post customer payments accurately and efficiently
• Perform weekly and monthly billing functions
• Review and enter credit/debit adjustments
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer concerns
• Assist with customer tax exemption audits and documentation
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects assigned by the Controller
• Maintain positive customer relationships while upholding company policies and compliance standards

Qualifications

• 1+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with collections or accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a process-improvement mindset
• Fluent in Spanish (required) – must be able to communicate professionally in both English and Spanish
