In this role, you will be accountable for driving sales of scientific products and services across the Netherlands and Belgium, serving customers engaged in research & development and production within the pharmaceutical segment.
The Account Manager maintains strong relationships with our largest Key Accounts, identifies growth opportunities, ensures profitability, and consistently achieves sales and margin targets.

We are seeking an Account Manager to join our Customer Channels Group / Fisher Scientific team, serving our most important customers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Reporting to the Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will drive sales growth, support customers, and improve profitability through effective territory planning, structured sales execution, and strategic account development.
Drive pharma-specific product sales to strengthen supplier partnerships and actively promote core products and value-added services
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales positioning and product portfolio within the pharma segment
Effectively communicate the tailored Thermo Fisher value proposition to key customers
Achieve or exceed assigned sales and margin targets within the designated territory
Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales plans to meet revenue and gross margin objectives using company-defined financial models
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure continued market penetration and profitability through in-depth engagement with key users, decision-makers, and procurement contacts
Leverage communication and influencing skills to optimize internal collaboration and maximize selling time
Drive product sales growth and service enhancement initiatives
Collaborate closely with internal sales colleagues and cross-functional teams
Implement and execute account strategies for assigned Key Accounts
Identify and address customer requirements while capitalizing on strategic business opportunities
Maintain accurate and timely administration in Salesforce.com
Monitor and manage key performance indicators including sales performance, call planning, call rate, and opportunity management
Proven sales experience
Experience in the pharmaceutical market preferred, particularly within laboratory equipment, consumables, chemicals, and life science products
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Confident presentation and negotiation capabilities
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (Salesforce.com preferred)
Solid pharmaceutical and scientific industry knowledge preferred
Fluency in Dutch and English
Strong collaboration, time management, and strategic selling skills
Confident personality with the ability to engage effectively across diverse customer environments, including one-to-one meetings, exhibitions, and formal presentations
