The Role

As an Account Manager, you are responsible for growing and expanding TribalScale’s client relationships by identifying new opportunities, bringing forward strategic ideas, and elevating the value we deliver beyond active engagements.

This role is focused on account growth, insight generation, and opportunity creation—not day-to-day delivery management. Our Product Managers own delivery; you will partner with them to identify what’s next.

You will play a critical role in:

  • Shaping new opportunities with prospective clients
  • Driving account expansion through insight-led conversations
  • Elevating business reviews into strategic, forward-looking discussions
  • Creating value-added insights and materials that strengthen client partnerships

What You’ll Do

1. Pre-Sales & Opportunity Support
  • Support prospective clients through discovery and scoping conversations
  • Translate business challenges into digital and AI-driven opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to shape proposals
  • Contribute to clear, compelling scopes of work and client recommendations

2. Account Growth & Opportunity Creation
  • Proactively identify new opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Develop and pitch ideas for:
    • New digital products or features
    • AI-driven initiatives
    • Customer experience and process improvements
  • Build account growth plans aligned to client business priorities
  • Partner with internal teams to validate and shape opportunities before presenting to clients

3. Strategic Business Reviews
  • Lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) focused on forward-looking value
  • Move beyond delivery recaps (owned by Product Managers) to:
    • Introduce new ideas and opportunities
    • Provide strategic recommendations
    • Reframe client challenges and priorities
  • Bring structured thinking and strong storytelling to client conversations

4. Market & Competitive Insights
  • Conduct lightweight competitive and market analysis across client industries
  • Identify:
    • Emerging trends
    • Competitor capabilities
    • Gaps and areas for innovation
  • Translate insights into:
    • Client-facing recommendations
    • Opportunity hypotheses
  • Incorporate insights into business reviews and proactive client conversations

5. Value Creation & Thought Partnership
  • Create value-add materials outside of active engagements, such as:
    • Opportunity briefs
    • Industry insight summaries
    • Product or feature recommendations
  • Share proactive ideas with clients between formal touchpoints
  • Demonstrate TribalScale’s capabilities through thinking, not just delivery

6. Outbound Pipeline Development
  • Design and execute targeted outbound campaigns
  • Identify high-potential accounts and key stakeholders using research and AI tools
  • Generate qualified opportunities aligned to TribalScale’s focus areas
  • Apply an insight-led approach to outbound outreach

7. AI-First Ways of Working
  • Leverage AI tools (LLMs, research agents, automation) to improve:
    • Prospecting and outreach
    • Market and competitive research
    • Proposal development and internal workflows
  • Continuously experiment with new tools and approaches to increase efficiency and impact

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience:
    2–5 years in a client-facing role (Account Manager, Client Success, or Account Executive) in consulting, agency, or digital services
  • Strategic Thinking:
    Ability to connect market trends, client challenges, and product opportunities
  • Commercial Instinct:
    Naturally identifies opportunities to expand scope and create value
  • Relationship Skills:
    Strong communicator with experience managing client stakeholders
  • Structured Communicator:
    Can synthesize ideas and insights into clear, compelling narratives
  • Outbound Confidence:
    Comfortable building pipeline through proactive outreach
  • Curiosity & Research Skills:
    Interested in exploring industries, competitors, and emerging technologies
  • AI Curiosity:
    Experience using AI tools to improve workflows, or strong interest in adopting AI-first ways of working

Bonus Points For

  • Experience working across both sales and delivery environments
  • Background in digital product development or consulting
  • Experience leading client business reviews or strategic discussions
  • Familiarity with industries such as financial services, media, or enterprise technology
