ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join Wilson Hartnell PR's dynamic Consumer PR team as an Account Executive. This fast-paced, varied role is perfect for a highly organised and digitally savvy individual eager to immerse themselves in culturally and socially driven communications. You will provide crucial support across busy press offices, assist in developing and activating impactful integrated campaigns, and contribute to leveraging brand talent and content creators.

We seek a proactive communicator who embraces a story-first approach, possesses strong copywriting skills, and demonstrates a keen understanding of earned-first media. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise across owned, earned, shared, and paid channels within a stimulating environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively monitor consumer and entertainment culture, media trends, and industry news to inform campaign insights.
  • Support and execute digital and social media campaigns, including content development, talent engagement, and platform management.
  • Manage press office activities, including media list development, earned media outreach, and drafting compelling written materials (e.g. press releases, briefing documents, media notices).
  • Organise and coordinate client activities such as events, content shoots, and press trips, ensuring efficient logistics and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain meticulous client records and administrative processes, demonstrating high organisation and a proactive, deadline-focused approach.
  • Communicate effectively and personably with clients, media, and colleagues, building strong relationships.
  • Show initiative and sound judgment in day-to-day tasks, contributing to problem-solving and demonstrating accountability with increasing independence.
  • Actively engage in AI upskilling and leverage WPP Open AI platforms, while supporting financial administration and new business development efforts. 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Early career PR agency experience, ideally within consumer, lifestyle, culture, or entertainment sectors.
  • A naturally digitally and social media savvy individual with a passion for cultural trends.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and a strong understanding of earned-first media.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple tasks with a deadline-focused approach.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.
  • Personable and possessing strong communication skills for effective client and media engagement.
  • Foundational knowledge of core social media platforms and an interest in AI tools for PR.
  • Eagerness to learn about measurement, evaluation, and demonstrating campaign impact.
  • Proven initiative and ability to work with increasing independence, knowing when to seek guidance.
