Reporting to the Manager, Health Plan Services, the Account Analyst III is responsible for supporting the Provider Data Management product. The provider data management tool is used to ensure provider data is accurate, current, and compliant. Provider Data Management simplifies data management by gathering data from primary sources, enhancing that data using billions of data points, and guiding providers through a recommendation-driven attestation process.

The Account Analyst III works independently or as a member of a team with various internal and/or external departments to resolve payer concerns and deliver a high quality experience. This position has accountability for coordinating business and technical resources between the clients and Availity.

To be qualified for this position, you:   

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Data Science, or a related field, or the equivalent in related work experience.

  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a customer relationship management role with at least 2 years supporting health care, payer, or provider relations.

  • Have strong analysis and research skills, specifically as demonstrated in health care companies.

  • Have strong client engagement/interaction skills.

  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal/written).

  • Have demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions.

  • Have detailed knowledge of product and project management lifecycles.

  • Have HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and Availity product knowledge.

What you will be doing:

  • Working incoming support and enhancement request tickets along with our product teams.  

  • Facilitating recurring or ad hoc conference calls on day-to-day operational items and may serve as back-up support for the Manager when they are unavailable.

  • Creating communications and reports for assigned tickets and products.

  • Reviewing all major reporting and documentation deliverables (i.e. dashboards, reports, requirements documentation, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.

  • Helping to resolve conflicts and ensures targets are met on client deliverables.

  • Managing payer team (project development) activity including monitoring progress and provides status reports on small to medium-sized client projects.

  • Working with cross functional teams to facilitate day to day customer operations and ensure issues and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.

  • Assisting client with release management, as needed.

  • Working with internal and external partners to monitor and resolve partner impacting production issues

  • Providing customer/client viewpoint of product usability and potential product improvements based on user feedback and interaction

  • Identifying opportunities to up-sell client on other Availity products and services.   

  • Working closely with project teams to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to their client’s project(s).

  • Providing regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.

  • Understanding of Availity products and services and effectively and communicates as appropriate to the client.

  • Performing effective and professional demonstrations of Availity’s products and services to client, as needed.

  • Scheduling, leading, and/or facilitating meetings and conference calls.
