POSITION SPECIFICS

The World Campus Office of the Registrar is looking for an energetic, flexible, and customer-focused person to serve as an Academic Records Coordinator-Support. As a member of the Registrar’s Office team, the Academic Records Coordinator-Support helps to provide front-line service to populations both internal and external to World Campus and the greater University. This role focuses on communicating with students, staff, faculty, and internal contacts across the University to maintain accurate student records.

The Academic Records Coordinator-Support position assists students in enrolling in World Campus coursework, as well as providing information and answering questions regarding various enrollment situations, and is integral to the development and maintenance of the student’s academic record.

This may include one or more of the following:

  • Course availability

  • Course controls

  • Advanced class search

  • Deadlines, grades, drop, add/withdraw/cancellation.

  • Tuition as well as tuition adjustment, graduation, change of campus/change of major, leave of absence, and returning to the University.

  • Prepare re-enrollments and academic renewals for processing by researching student records. Create Non-Degree student records. Collaborate with other Outreach and Online Education (OOE) units regarding students’ enrollments.

  • Explain and maintain compliance with federal and state guidelines, including FERPA, to all students and staff. Serve as the World Campus Registrar’s Office representative at OOE unit meetings and committee meetings.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

If filled as Academic Records Coordinator - Intermediate Support, this position requires: General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None If filled as Academic Records Coordinator - Support, this position requires: General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education. Required Certifications: None

 

Preferred qualifications: The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic; a dedication to providing excellent customer service to our students as well as our internal customers; strong written and verbal communication skills; sound critical thinking and decision-making skills and the willingness to learn and adapt to new and evolving technologies. Additional years of customer service experience in a remote or hybrid setting are desired.

The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. Staff may also be required to be on-site periodically for other events/activities/trainings/meetings.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $31,600.00 - $50,500.00.
